Daily Conversation
Yankunytjatjara is a language of the Western Desert language group located in the far north of South Australia. Speakers of Yankunytjatjara are commonly located across the Anangu Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara Lands (APY Lands) and across other major regional towns including Coober Pedy, Port Augusta, Adelaide and Alice Springs.
These materials were created as an introduction to the Yankunytjatjara language and are provided to help people read, hear and practice speaking the language. It is also hoped that these materials will be used in the classroom by Aboriginal Education Workers as teaching tools.
