Let’s practise some sentences using the words we’ve learnt.

 

Nganhi means Ipurruku is hair and pityirrinha means red.

Nganhi purruku pityirrinha.
My hair is red.

 

Nyuntu means you, purruku is hair and wardu-wardu means short.

Nyuntu purruku wardu-wardu.
Your hair is short.

 

Kupa-waka means baby and palki-palkira means fat and healthy. 

Kupa-waka palki-palkira.
The baby is fat and healthy.

 

Kanyini means grandmother (mother’s mother) and wirda-muku means sore back.

Kanyini wirda-muku,
Grandmother's back is sore.

 

Ngapiri means father, pantya means knee and puthutha-yarra means hurting.

Ngapiri pantya puthutha-yarra.
Father's knee is hurting.
